Alicia Ristic
Alicia is a wonderful art teacher for children of all ages. Her enthusiasm and positive attitude are what make Art Galia's children bloom! She has a positive attitude, and her personal motto is that "There are no mistakes in art - only happy accidents!". Her perspective on life is always sunny, and that certainly shows when her students come from their classes bright and happy, with beautiful artwork to show their relatives.
Alicia believes that art is 10% inclination or talent, and 90% hard work. Anyone can be artistic, they just have to get started and be committed. She sees the ability of every child, and loves to help children discover for themselves that they really can draw and paint at a professional level as long as they work hard and don't give up.
Her classes have run since she opened Art Galia, and she has students that have been with her for over 10 years. Their works have improved beautifully throughout their time with Alicia. Alicia also organizes the biannual art show for children which is always a huge success.
For more than two decades I’ve been intrigued by the way a painting’s surface and subject complement and compete in the viewer’s mind. I am excited by the way my visual experience translates into a surface language expressed through the richness of paint. Using a personal language of abstract marks, I want to share with the viewer a deeper emotional response to the world in which we live.”
